A Day With MAWSPA July 2015 – Post Show Report

7th July 2015 saw the culmination of MAWSPA committee bringing forward the first ever spa attire fashion show in Malaysia and the spa operation seminar held together in PWTC Kuala Lumpur. These two events under one roof, drawing together a balance crowd from the industry professionals and media partners.

The 1st ever spa attire fashion show brings together some of the most stylish spa therapist uniform on the stage.  Stage is filled with impressive spa attire that provide inspiration for spa owners, hoteliers in getting the most appropriate attire for their therapist which will also symbolize their professionalism, culture and spirit.

Puan Ayu Mudiasih, Managing Director of Cemarayu Sdn Bhd and the owner of Tirta spa impressed many with her many various designs of spa uniform concepts. On top of that all the models showcasing the spa attires are complimented by current trend makeups and hairstyles that are appropriate for spa employees.

As the house lights dimmed and the music started to build the packed floor did not disappoint. The show proved to be a real success with more than 85 invitees and media partners came to have a first glance of the showcase.

Another highlight of the show was the comprehensive spa seminar program drawing over 60 attendees. Among the diversified program, topics in focus include “Treatment and professional home-care and advice” by Ayu Mudiasih, “Understanding the Industry” by Dr Baskaran Kosthi, “Team, Communication and Confidence” by Shah Amirudin, “Etiquette and Presentation” by Datin Dorothea Justin and more.

The operation seminar seeks to build the basics understanding of spa operation, customer relationship, interpersonal skills and more. The seminar was attended by more than 70 delegates featuring mostly spa owners, managers and executives from the spa, hotel and wellness industry. Certificate of participation were given to all the seminar participants after the programme ended followed by an Iftar with the delegates at the PWTC ground floor open buffet area.

Overall it was a very enjoyable afternoon for the committee and those who participated for the entire programme and we hope to see you again next year!
